Websites worth noting...

Let's share a list of dope websites here, what they are used for, and whatever you wanna say about 'em. I'll add more to it later, but this should get the list started. I might add yours to this list so we have a master list....or not...we'll see.

Business:

www.linkedin.com - A professional networking site. I LOVE this site! It has proven to be a super valuable tool in 1) Connecting with people in my professional network 2) Finding like-minded professionals that I would have otherwise not found 3) Sharing and building on ideas 4) Finding work and probably some other stuff I'm not thinking of. (I think this one was Peter Baker. Thanks dude.)

www.plaxo.com - A great way to keep your contacts updated info. It automatically syncs with your "address book" or whatever in real time.

docs.google.com - A way to share word & excel type files with people online where the changes happen in real time and more than one person can be on there editing at the same time.

www.iwantsandy.com - Your personal secretary. "She" will keep things organized for you and remind you of things you need to do. I haven't used this yet to the fullest, but thanks to my man James Andrews who put me up on this, I am having an easier time remembering to do things. I do think this program could be much better if it synced both ways with ical and other similar programs.

www.malakye.com - It's the "Career Builder" for Action Sports Jobs.

Lifestyle:

www.going.com - My go to site to see what's going on in the city. They only cover major cities so far, so this may not be useful to some of you, but if you're in the LA area, find me on there and check in, because I'm usually adding dope events to "my events" and many of them have RSVPs to get you in FREE.

www.fusicology.com & www.flavorpill.com - Both solid sites to see what's happening in your town. They reach a few more cities than "going." (Claribelle...thanks girl)

Music:

www.thismachineco.com/daily/wp/ - A dope site featuring rare funk/soul/jazz 45's. I will be regularly uploading songs to this as well. My boy Deric Mahany JUST laced me with this AS WE SPEAK. Good looks Gromm!!

www.the-breaks.com - I've held onto this little secret for MANY years. This site gives you the names to original samples.

www.albumbase.com - Free downloads of full-length albums! No catches. I've been using this for a couple years now and being someone who likes having full-length albums and not just singles, this site kills it. (big up FINALE who I think put me up on this)

www.extorrent.org - Sharing mass amounts of digital information. (thanks to Peter Baker)

www.pandora.com & www.lastfm.com - Great ways to discover new music. (Miguel put me up on Pandora a LONG time ago)

www.qtrax.com, www.amiestreet.com, www.emusic.com, www.rhapsody.com - Innovative sites for both discovering and buying digital music.

www.soulmusic.com - I just had the pleasure of chillin' with David Nathan, founder of www.soulmusic.com. We talked music and passion while he played me one deep soul track after another from his ridiculously rich library.

Fun:

www.realultimatepower.net - This site is all about ninjas, REAL NINJAS. This site is awesome. These guys are cool; and by cool, I mean totally sweet. (special thanks to Frumin for sharing this with me a few years ago)

www.vodpod.com - Let's you store all your favorite videos from YouTube and the likes as well as share that library with others. I spent one long night in Vienna at Bill and Ingrid's place and added a ton of dope music videos. You can look my up on there and check 'em out. I don't think I've use it since.
